Michael Allen Pintar

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Michael Allen Pintar, age 82.

Michael transitioned into heaven on January 15, 2026, following a brief (27-day) illness.

Michael was born on September 8, 1943, in West Allis, Wisconsin, to Emil and Joyce Pintar. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1969 and enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a Veterinarian with his partners Kenneth Mayhew, DVM, and Mary Oswald, DVM at Orchard Lake Animal Hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan, until his retirement in 2006.

Michael met his cherished wife of 33 years, Diana Pintar, through their mutual divorce attorney, Richard Victor, Esq. They are forever grateful to him. They enjoyed 32 of those years in the house in which they were married in Novi, Michigan. They relocated to Bluffton, South Carolina, one year ago.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife, Diana Pintar, and his precious blended family consisting of his biological children: Jennifer Stimson (Mark), Mark Pintar (Jerilynn), his bonus children; Vincent Sobieski (Antonina), Cori Schlimmer (Doug); his eight grandchildren: Andrew, Thomas, Henry, Augustus, Jessalyn, Tyler, Nick, and Carson. Michael is survived by his sisters: Sandra Mueller (Jack) and Gail Elder (David). He is also remembered with love by in-laws Janis and Jeff Troiano, Julie Sitzman, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved rescue cat, Smokey, who was his constant companion.

Michael was a devoted man of God. He was deeply rooted in his faith and his love for family, which he prayed for daily with Diana. He was an avid golfer and a dedicated veterinarian who cared deeply for every person in his life and for every creature in his care. He was known for his quiet patience, steady kindness, and good sense of humor that surfaced at just the right moments. He lived gently, loved deeply, and served faithfully.
