Michael, age 74, passed away peacefully after a year-long battle with cancer, his wife of 51years, Barbara at his side. He was born in Buffalo, NY to Al and Stella (nee Kryszczuk) Wierzbicki.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by brother, Richard (Christine) Wierzbicki, sister-in-law Christine (Anthony) Federici, brother-in law John {Mary Ann) Bojdo, sister-in-law Susan (Henry) Murawski and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brother, Thomas Wierzbicki, sister-in-law Kathleen Bojdo and stepmother Ruth Wierzbicki. He retired to Sun City in 2006, after a career in manufacturing, ranging from journeyman tool and die maker, to engineer, plant manager and ending as vice president of manufacturing.
Michael loved playing golf and was able to play with a group of guys that grew into a great friendship, especially at the 19th hole where the game was rehashed hole-by-hole over a beer or two. The golf group, which included spouses, enjoyed monthly dinners, coined The Athletic Banquet. The last time Michael played golf, he was a witness to his friend Randy scoring A Hole- In-One.
He had an infectious SMILE and will truly be missed.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 Saint Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909 on Monday, March 8th at 10:30 AM. Mask and social distancing is mandatory for all attendees.

Arrangements were handled by Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd. Bluffton, SC (www.saulsfh.com). Interment will be private.
