Tefft July 19, 1949 Lincoln, NE Died October 19, 2013 Bluffton, SC I am writing my own obituary to avoid all the listing of things that in the scheme of eternity mean nothing at all. I will boast in three things: #1 - In my friends. I have been blessed by a multitude of friends. I will not list them for fear of missing a name and having eternal shame for it. However, they know who they are. #2 - In my family. My wife, Ilo, who tended heart and hand for the four long years of this disease. She is truly the wife spoken of in Proverbs 31:10-31. She has been the love of my life since we met almost 43 years ago. My oldest son Justin, his wife Jennifer and their sons Joshua and Jaemin, in Lincoln, Nebraska. My daughter Babs, her husband Jeremy Koch and their children Ty, Eli, Jacey and Ally, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. My youngest Son Clarke, his wife Kimrey and their son, Ethan, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. All my children have been successful beyond my wildest hopes. They have honored my wife and me and are secure in today and eternity. #3 - In my church. From the moment I entered The Church of the Cross for the first time, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. The pastoral staff showed us unconditional love. I hold my friend and pastor, Chuck Owens, in the highest regard. Services will be held Sunday October 27, 2013 at 4pm at the historic campus of The Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC 29910. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Michael L Tefft to The Church of the Cross, P.O. Box 278, Bluffton, SC 29910. Services will be held Sunday October 27, 2013 at 4pm at the historic campus of The Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC 29910.
