Mildred Drawdy Driggers, age 87, of Hardeeville went to her heavenly home on January 31, 2025 at The Gardens Senior Living & Memory Care Community in Statesboro, Georgia. She was born on June 22, 1937 to the late Walter C. and Goldie D. Drawdy of Brunswick, Georgia.
Mrs. Driggers retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Rincon, Georgia as a Switchboard Operator. She was an Honor Graduate of Draughons Junior College in Savannah, Georgia in the spring of 1982. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Hardeeville, SC where she enjoyed teaching children and singing in the choir.
Mrs. Driggers was married to Robert Edward Lee Driggers in 1962 and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1984. She is survived by her five loving children: Ricky L. Roberson (Theresa) of Brunswick, GA; Ronny D. Roberson of Hardeeville, SC; Gary R. Driggers (Cynthia) of Walterboro, SC; Ramona D. Lively (Joe) of Ball Ground, GA; Denise D. Doss (Brian) of Springfield, GA; 11 grandchildren and predeceased by two grandchildren: Timothy Lee Lowther and Melissa Ann Driggers; and many great-grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, Lewis C. Drawdy (Vivian) of Mississippi; predeceased by one brother Clinton Drawdy; and two sisters Pearl McCumbers and Hazel Wagers. She also has many loving nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 West Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.
Funeral will be on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Hardeeville, SC with burial to follow at Purrysburg Cemetery in Hardeeville, SC.
