Miriam S. KalinowskyRidgeland, SCThe world has lost a lady, but heaven has gained an angel, as Mrs. Miriam Smith Kalinowsky, 77, left to be at peace with Jesus on March 18th, 2013. She was born in Grays, SC on May, 16th, 1935 to the late Edgar and Elizabeth Long Smith.She was a Homemaker and formerly employed by the Palms Restaurant for many years in Ridgeland, SC. She was a lifelong member of Advent Christian Church where she served as Sunday school teacher and secretary/ treasurer of the WHFMS. She lived her life as an exemplary Christian, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to others.She is survived by sons, Wade G. Kalinowsky of Clio, SC; John V.Kalinowsky of Ridgeland, SC; sisters, Mrs. Edyce Smith of Ridgeland, SC; Mrs. Delia Reynolds of Charleston, SC; Ms. Patricia Pinckney of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Anna (David) Barton of GA; Elizabeth (Richard) Kyker of TN; Adam (Lori) Ducey of GA; Morgan (Verona) Ducey of NC; Serge Kalinowsky of Ridgeland, SC and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander G. Kalinowsky; her son, Roy A. Kalinowsky; daughter, Anna Amanda Kalinowsky; sisters, Earlette Janz, Lois Johnson, Marjorie Matthews and grandson, Garrett M. Kalinowsky.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Advent Christian Church in Ridgeland with burial in Grimes cemetery in Grays, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
