Monty WoodsBeaufort, SCMonty Oswald Woods, 79, formerly of Islandton, SC, passed away January 21, 2008 at his home in Beaufort, SC.He was born on August 13, 1928 to the late Wesley Woods and Minta Ginn Woods. He was a carpenter and a farmer. He was a US Army Veteran of Korea; member VFW Post 8760 of Beaufort, SC and he was a Christian. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.He is survived by one brother, Freddie L. (Mary Ann) Woods of Jacksonboro, SC; four sisters, Evelyn Woods Dobson of Greenville, SC; Sarah Woods Mallard and Mary Woods Weaver of Beaufort, SC and Jacqueline Woods (Roland) Smith of Marietta, GA; two sisters in law, Lucille Woods of Ravenel, SC and Dorothy Woods of Columbia, SC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Collins Wesley Woods and Harrison Shuford Woods.Graveside Services will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, January 25, 2008 at Phillipsville Cemetery in Grays, SC. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8 pm, Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
