Morris Gedis Tuten

Morris Gedis Tuten, Sr., 80, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC after a short illness.He was born October 29, 1927 at Pineland Club, Pineland, SC; son of the late Benjamin R. and Iva G. Tuten. He was owner and proprietor of M. Tuten Meats in Ridgeland for fifty five years.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucile W. Tuten of Ridgeland, SC; a son, Morris G. (Karen) Tuten, Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; a daughter, Greta Lynne of Okatie, SC; a grandson, Joshua S. (Shelley) Lowther of Beaufort, SC; one sister, Eunice Daley of Ridgeland, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC with burial in the Ridgeland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the hour of service at the funeral home.
