Morton James BrownBluffton, SCMorton James Brown, 82, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC.He was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on February 25, 1925. He was the son of the late Arthur Brown and Bessie Silverman Brown.He was a retired Sales and Marketing Executive for industrial equipment. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He landed on Omaha Beach during the Normandy Invasion and was wounded at St. Loe in France. He was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church where he served as a longtime Eucharistic Minister and Lector. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active volunteer for Coastal Carolina Medical Center.He is survived by his wife, Bernice Marie Brown of Bluffton, SC; three daughters, Sister Kathleen Brown I.H.N. of Runnemede, NJ, Dianne Rogers of North Wales, PA and Barbara Brown Steinmetz of Woodstock, GA; one sister, Zelma Pugliese of Wernersville, PA. He was predeceased by an infant son and daughter, James and Mary Brown.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington, PA at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 5, 2007 with burial in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading, PA.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their local arrangements and Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting in West Reading, PA.
