Muriel Smith

Muriel Theresa Smith, 86, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at her home.She was born in New York, NY on March 12, 1925. During her life she lived in Rochester, NY; Blue Bell, PA; Corona-del-Mar, CA; Sea Isle City, NY; and Palm City, FL.Muriel was a graduate of Temple University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She loved art, travel, animals, volunteering, and spending time with her friend and close-knit family. She was beloved by everyone who knew her.Muriel is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Richard Lawrence Smith of Bluffton and two daughters, Stephanie P. Smith of Philadelphia, PA, and Stacie Oste (Matt) of Charlotte, NC.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, P.O. Box 3827, Bluffton, SC 29910.
