Nancy Diane Docker Beuerle, age 84, of Bluffton, SC, passed peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA.
Nancy was born August 31, 1942, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the eldest daughter of the late Dudley and Mildred Docker. She grew up in Winnipeg alongside her siblings Susan & Rod, enjoying summers at the Winnipeg Beach Boardwalk and learning to golf at Sandy Hook on Lake Winnipeg. She graduated from the Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing, where she met her husband, Fritz, and they moved to the United States with her family in 1964, where she spent her career as a Registered Nurse in the labor, delivery, and postpartum field, providing exceptional and compassionate care in Rochester, MN, Breckenridge, MN, and Richmond, VA, before retiring to Bluffton, SC, in 2002.
Nancy cherished time with her family near and far, traveling across the US with her husband and children, return visits to loved ones in Canada, Germany and UK, and a devoted presence in her grandchildren's lives. Always the 'social butterfly', Nancy was an active member in many groups and networks. She was a proud member and supporter of PEO International. A talented avid golfer throughout her life including Club Champion at Belfair, she was a member of the Bois De Sioux Club, Meadowbrook Country Club, Salisbury Country Club, and Belfair Country Club and community, where she competed in various local tournaments and played with ladies' groups.
She enjoyed the company of many friends with whom she could share her love of reading, her skill at card games including bridge and canasta, and her unrivaled baked goods. Her world-famous banana bread was always a welcome gift to friends, visiting family, new neighbors, and any guest in her home. Her generosity, compassion, wit, and heartwarming laughter will be dearly remembered by every life she has touched.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2016 by her beloved husband of 53 years, Friedrich "Fritz" Beuerle. She is survived by her loving children, son Greg Beuerle {wife Amy) and daughter Wendy Moore (husband Kenny); grandchildren Brandon Moore (wife Jess}, Tori Beuerle, and Tom Beuerle {wife Shelby); great-grandchildren Banks Moore and Ivy Beuerle; sister Susan Docker; brother Rod Docker; cousin Terry Docker; nephew Stefan Beuerle; special and longtime friends Pat and (late) Bud Woodard, Patti Garratt, Judy Ferguson, Lorraine Moore and Stephanie Sherwood; and countless other treasured friends, whom over many years brought immense joy, community, and richness to her life.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held on Friday, October 23rd at 9:30am at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bluffton, SC, followed by a gathering for friends and family at Belfair Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations made in Nancy's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Bluffton Self Help in Bluffton, SC.
