Nelson Roberto Olivera Quintanilla

Nelson Roberto Olivera Quintanilla, 77 years young, was called home to be with our Creator on December 26th 2021. He was a loving husband, an amazing son, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Nelson was born in Honduras on December 7 1944 to Carlos A. Olivera and Rosa Quintanilla. The 9th of 14 children, his siblings would say he was the artistic one, he loved dancing and telling jokes, making people laugh brought him joy. At a young age his first job was helping his fathers family business at a newspaper print, he distributed books and newspapers. His head was always in books, in that sense he knew a little something about everything, always sharing facts. His favorite saying was you have to give respect to get respect and this is exactly how he lived his life. He was helpful in every way he could and never asked for help in return or complained, he was disciplined & respectful in every sense of the word.

Nelson is survived by his children Roberto Olivera, Giovanni Olivera, Carolina George, Sayra Olivera, Joel Olivera, Gizzel Olivera, Carlos Olivera, Isaac Olivera; the mother of his children Reina Zelaya; his life partner Virginia Vanegas. Nelson had 24 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Nelson will be greatly missed by all those who loved and cared for him.
