Neptune Nelson

A TIME TO BE BORN: Neptune Nelson, Jr, the eldest of five children, was born to the late Neptune Nelson, Sr. and Mary T. Nelson on March 28, 1935 in Bluffton, SC.

A TIME TO WORK: Neptune loved the outdoors and was owner and operator of N & N Landscaping and Irrigation which serviced customers in Hilton Head, Beaufort, and Charleston.

A TIME TO PLAY: In his free time and after retirement, Neptune could be found gardening, tinkering with cars and small equipment, sharing old time stories, sitting outside enjoying nature, playing the lottery, and was a lover of the blues.

A TIME TO LOVE: Neptune was married to Celestine Nelson for 35 years. Their union was blessed with five children.

A TIME TO DIE: Neptune answered the Master's Call on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

A TIME TO MOURN: Proceeded him in death were his SISTERS: Vivian Wise and Beatrice Bailey; BROTHER: Jacob Nelson; SONS: Michael Green and Freeman Green: DAUGHTER: Deborrah Coleman. He leaves to cherish fond memories with those who loved him and the many lives he touched: Brother: Albert Nelson of Ridgeland, SC; SONS: Neptune Nelson, Jr (Sheila) of Charleston, SC, Anthony Jerome Nelson of Beaufort, SC, Kenneth Green (Princetta) and Michael Van Nelson of Jacksonville, FL; DAUGHTERS: Kathleen Brown and Merline Williams of Beaufort, SC; Nadine Nelson-Edwards (Darrell) of Peachtree City, GA; LOVING NIECE/CARETAKER: Deborah Taylor; 24;grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 6 nieces; 6 nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
