Nicholas Roy Ashcraft

Nicholas Roy Ashcraft, 21 of Ridgeland, SC passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 as the result of a vehicle accident. He was born in Beaufort, SC on March 18, 1994 to Carla Coy Cooler and Thomas Dale Ashcraft. He was a graduate of Thomas Heyward Academy where he lettered in basketball, baseball, golf and football for the Rebels. He was on the SCISA all region football team; he was a North-South All Star for 2011; voted "best eyes" for the Senior superlatives for Class of 2012. He was an avid fisherman and loved to duck hunt. He made everyone laugh and enjoyed helping others. He loved his dog "Lady". He is survived by his mother Carla Cooler Ashcraft and his step father, David Condrey of Ridgeland; his father, Thomas Ashcraft of Powell, OH; his fiancé, Amanda Williams of Ridgeland; two brothers, Brandon Thomas Ashcraft of Ridgeland and Austin Ashcraft of Powell, OH; his maternal grandmother, Esther Cooler of Ridgeland; his paternal grandmother, Crystal W. Ashcraft of Hamilton, OH; niece and nephew, Brailyn McKenna Ashcraft and Kendall J. Ashcraft; aunts, Kathy Christy (Jeff), Brenda Preacher (Rick), Gwen Brill (Mike), and Debbie Sullivan; uncle, Faron Ashcraft, several cousins and friends. He was predeceased by Uncle Bubba Jack Cooler and grandfather, Jack Cooler. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland with burial in Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm until the hour of the service. Memorials may be sent to Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital, Pediatric Neurology, 59 Bee Street, MSC 201, Charleston, SC 29425 in memory of Nicholas Roy Ashcraft. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland with burial in Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm until the hour of the service. Memorials may be sent to Medical University of South Carolina Childrenâ
