Noris "Rocky" Hughes

Noris “Rocky” Hughes, 79, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Hospice House in Pinehurst, NC. Rocky was married to Linda Spinks Hughes for the past 32 years. They were high school sweethearts and found each other again later in life. Rocky also leaves a step-son, Brad Holt (Mellisa) and granddaughter Gracie Holt from Pinehurst, NC. He has a daughter, Jennifer Hughes and son, Bradley Hughes and granddaughter, Monica Sneed, all from Jacksonville, FL. Rocky was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. Rocky proudly served in the Army FL National Guard for 6 years. He graduated from the University of FL and was a gator fan for life. He was an IT Manager running projects and programs for large banks and insurance companies. He loved to play golf and tennis. Rocky and Linda attended the Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC and they volunteered at the church, Meals on Wheels and his neighborhood in Sun City. Rocky will be remembered with a happy smile and a kind soul to all. His funeral will be held at Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun St, Bluffton, SC on May 16th at 11:00.  His ashes will be interred in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palmetto Animal League or Church of the Cross. Sauls Funeral Home is assisting the family.
