Olie passed away at Hilton Head Hospital with his loving wife, Rose, at his side on December 16, 2021. He was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, to Olianus O. Orsino and Vancie Vanetta DeJohn Orsino.

He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He took great pride in working with exceptional children. Olie worked for the Allegheny Intermediate Unit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shortly after retirement, he moved to High Rock Lake in Denton, North Carolina then to Sun City in Bluffton, SC.

Olie was a caring son, husband, father, and grandfather, and friend. A humble, kind man who loved to travel and enjoyed sports especially golf. And a Steeler fan for many, many years.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rosemary (Rose) Kerekes Orsino; Sister Erma Orsino; three children: Mark (Mary) Orsino, Mike (Susan) Orsino, Christine (Rob) Van Etten. And a proud grandfather, Popo, to seven grandchildren and Hayden Lewis, who resides in the home.

Olie was preceded by his parents, Olianus and Vancie Orsino and his sister, Germaine Orsino.

Olie's family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of the doctors and medical professionals that assisted with his care over the years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Bluffton or the charity of your choice.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, December 27, 2021 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Drive, Bluffton.

Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with arrangements.
