Olivia Beck Tyson (Libby), a beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on June 24, 2023. Her warm presence and kind spirit touched the lives of many, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Born on January 26, 1945, Libby embraced life with a passion for music, animals, nature and food. As a pianist, she enjoyed playing for others and her music had the power to uplift and transport listeners to a world of beauty and emotion.
Beyond her love for music, Libby possessed a deep appreciation for nature and all its wonders. The beach and the ocean held a special place in her heart, and she often found solace in the sound of crashing waves and the sand beneath her feet.
Animals were another great source of joy and companionship in Libby’s life. She nurtured a special bond with furry friends, understanding their language of love and offering them comfort and care. Her home was a sanctuary for pets, and her gentle touch and warm heart extended not only to her own pets but to any creature in need.
Libby’s talents and passions extended beyond music and nature. She was quite the cook, creating delicious meals that brought loved ones together around the table. In quieter moments, Libby found joy in the art of cross-stitching. With needle and thread, she transformed ordinary fabric into intricate works of art. Each stitch was a testament to her patience, creativity, and attention to detail. Her cross-stitched creations will forever serve as reminders of her talent and the love she poured into every project.
Libby was always taking care of others. She was married to her husband Bill for nearly 59 years, taking care of him in his final days. She was also a caretaker for her uncle after the passing of his wife and her mother, Mrs. Beck, in her later years.
Libby leaves behind a profound void in the lives of her loved ones, but her memory will continue to shine brightly. She will be remembered for her beautiful music, her love for the beach and animals, her delicious meals, and her intricate cross-stitch artistry. Above all, she will be remembered for her unwavering love and the lasting impact she had on those fortunate enough to have known her.
In our hearts, Libby will forever be cherished as a beacon of love, warmth, and creativity. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory inspire us to embrace life's passions with the same fervor and grace that she did.
