Opal Pugmire Petty

Oral Pugmire Petty passed away peacefully at her home on January 26, 2009 at the age of 88. She was born on Aug. 11, 1920 in St. Charles Idaho. She is survived by her children and their spouses Ken & Debbie Petty of Arcadia CA, Doug & Marjie Petty of Evergreen CO, Richard & Tami Petty of Lake View Terrace, CA, Janet & Marlon Sheffield Ridgeland SC, Joyce and Frank Uribie of Spring TX; daughter-in-law Pam Petty of Austin TX; grandchildren Daniel Petty of Arcadia CA, Kimberly Taylor, Marlon Sheffield; great grandchildren Macy & Colsen Taylor of Ridgeland SC. She is also survived by her sister Gwen Loveland of Alpine UT, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Dr. Charles Petty and a son Bruce Petty. She was a long time resident of Arcadia. She was a member of the Arcadia Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Oral's family was her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed by her family and many dear friends. Services will be held on Jan. 30, 2009 at 11:00 am at the LDS Chapel 614 W. Foothill Blvd. Arcadia, Ca. A viewing will be held Jan. 29 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Douglass & Zook Mortuary, 600 E. Foothill, Monrovia CA.
