Otto A. Wahlrab, 76, of Hilton Head Island, SC passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC.He was born and grew up in Wilton, CT. He had a home in Rehoboth, MA for over 40 years before retiring to Moss Creek Plantation in Hilton Head Island, SC.He leaves his wife of 35 years, Joyce Wahlrab; three daughters, Susan Wahlrab Perkins and her husband, Peter and their two sons, Forrest and Jules; Peri McGuiness and her husband, Joe and their two sons, Brian and Jay and Linda McGuiness and her husband, Peter and their daughter, Emma. He also leaves two stepsons, David Perkins and his wife, Carol and their son, Benjamin and William Perkins.He graduated from Wilton High School in CT and Worcester Poly Tech in Worcester, MA. He served three years in the Navy as a Lieutenant Junior Grade from 1956-1959. He was active in many civic and political organizations. He was President of the Chamber of Commerce and the Fall River Rotary. He helped to start a Hospice (1984-1988) in Fall River, MA. He was a member of the Republican National Committee and went on to be the Chairman of the Republican Party of MA (1972-1974).He was a member of the Rehoboth Planning Board for many years, the United Way, Planned Parenthood President and President of Greater Fall River Insurance Agents. He was an Elector in 1980 for the Election of Ronald Reagan. He was the Vice President of Junior Achievement. He served on the Board for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He was on the Governor
