Patricia Joan Carlquist

Patricia Joan Carlquist, age 71, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Guilford, CT died Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at home.

Mrs. Carlquist was born on July 31, 1947 in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late William and Louise Allen. She was a graduate of Saint Raphael in New Haven where she earned her degree in nursing. She began practicing as a floor nurse at Saint Raphael and later as an emergency room nurse, retiring after 20 years of service. Following her tenure with Saint Raphael she served as a substitute nurse with the Guilford, CT Public Schools. While living in Bluffton, Patricia was active in the Sun City community.

Mrs. Carlquist is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Roger A. Carlquist; daughter, Pamela Hulbert (Jonah); sister, Janet Crowley (James); brother, William Allen, (Kathleen); and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 Monday, February 11, 2019 at Cornerstone Church, 1300 May River Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of choice which benefits cancer research.
