Patricia L. Duda

Patricia L. Duda (Hoffman) of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on September 2, 2022.

Patricia was born on October 1, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois where she also grew up. She married the love of her life, Terrance Duda, on May 1, 1965. They then moved to Maui, Hawaii in 1972 to start new adventures in life. Patricia was a very successful business owner of Four Winds clothing stores. She worked hard, loved her family, and played hard. After losing her husband in 2002, she moved to Bluffton, South Carolina to be closer to her daughter and granddaughters. She became a great grandmother to five beautiful, fun, loving, and spunky great grandchildren who loved her to the moon, she will forever be their LaLa.

She is survived by one daughter, one son, their children, and grandchildren: daughter Kelly Shanks, Bluffton, SC, daughters Tess (Cody) Roach, Paige and Emma Shanks, and grandchildren, Corbin, Hadley, and Brynlee Roach; son Terry (Tracy) Duda, Maui, Hawaii, son Brandin (Karin) Duda, Orange County, California, daughter Brittany (Steve) Duda Botti, Bluffton, South Carolina, and grandchildren Evelyn and Alexander Botti. She was preceded in death by her parents Medard and Shirley Mae Hoffman, her childhood sweetheart and husband Terrance Duda, brother Ken Hoffman, and son in law Jay Shanks, may she now reunite with those loved ones she has missed.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at Sauls Funeral Home 90 Simmonsville Road Bluffton, South Carolina. The visitation of friends and family will begin at 5:30 pm with the memorial service to follow at 6:30 pm.
