Patricia Loraine Paff of Sun City in Okatie, SC and North Hutchinson Island, FL died on June 17, 2014 at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA at the age of 77.
Pat was born on June 10, 1937 to Alfred and Lina DeSimone in the Bronx, NY and moved to Yonkers, NY as a young teenager. She graduated Roosevelt High School, and the Washington School for Secretaries and worked as a legal secretary for the Law Firm of Friedman and Collier until she got married to her high school sweetheart Richard at St. John Catholic Church in Yonkers in 1957. They moved to Lawrenceville, NJ where she was a housewife and mother in the early years of raising a family, and later on was a teacher-aide for the Lawrenceville Board of Education and later became Deputy Clerk for the township of Lawrenceville. She retired in 1997 and after a couple of years when her husband retired from the David Sarnoff Research Center in Princeton, NJ, they bought their beach condo on the east coast of Florida, and a year later, their primary home in Sun City, SC.
Pat is survived by her husband Richard of 56 years of marriage; their 3 children Kim Hagan of Delray Beach, FL; Richard Jr. of Point Pleasant, NJ and Drew of Ewing, NJ; their 3 grandchildren Chelsea, Conor, and Samantha, all Hagans. She is also survived by her sister Elena Becher of Bridgeport, CT and sister-in-law Margery Kirwan of Sun City.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 with visitation following until 1:00 p.m. at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
