Patricia Ann Powers

Patricia Ann Powers, 78, of Bluffton, SC passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head, SC. Mrs. Powers was born September 29, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Willard M. Payne and Catherine Alberta Rucker (McEndree). She was a special education teacher and a member of the Wayne County board of Education. She was also a member of Low Country Community Church, where she served in the nursery department. Mrs. Powers was a para-legal and an avid bowling enthusiast. She also loved to cook and travel. Mrs. Powers is survived by her husband, Luther Powers; her sons, Edward Clark (Rochelle) of Cumming, GA, Blane Clark (Belinda) of Detroit, MI, and Allen Clark of San Diego, CA; sister, Pamela Lockeridge of Chicago, IL; brother, Gerald Mitchell and grandchildren, Allana Clark and Stephen Clark of Cumming, GA. She was preceded in death by her son, Carlos Clark and sister, Barbara Adams. A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
