Patricia Judson Roller

May 17, 1924 — January 26, 2016

Patricia Judson Roller, 91, passed away on January 26th at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA, after a brief, sudden illness. Her loving children were at her side.

Pat was born May 17, 1924, in Sandusky, OH to Lorraine and Robert Judson. She had a wonderful childhood there with her sister, Lorraine, They spent their summers sailing the waters of Lake Erie with their father. She went on to college at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, MI, then graduated from the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. There she met and fell in love with James Calvin Roller, whom she would marry after the war.

Jim and Pat settled in Ashtabula, Oh, to establish his career in the molded fiberglass industry, and raise their family. Pat had a wonderful, active life, enjoying golf, bridge, volunteering, and painting. She also worked in the real estate business for many years, thoroughly enjoying that career. The two enjoyed many wonderful golf trips across the country with friends over the years. After retiring, they built a home in Southern Pines, NC, where they lived for 10 years. After being snowed in one year, they headed farther south to Callawassie Island, SC. This was to be the home they loved most.

Jim and Pat celebrated 67 loving years of marriage before he passed in 2013. They are survived by their children; Susan Roller Smith and her husband, Peter, of Erie, PA; Ann Roller Conway and her husband, John, of Bluffton, SC; and Joseph Allen Roller, and his wife, Kay, of Callawassie Island, SC, and Ashtabula, OH. They are also survived by 10 adoring grandchildren located in Utah, MI, NY, NC, PA, OH, and AZ. Also surviving are 16 great grandchildren.

The family will have a celebration of her fabulous life this summer at the family home in OH.
