Patricia A. Champion passed away in the early morning hours of November 28, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Bob Champion, her Mom, Alice Scanlan, sisters Virginia Degnan, Kathy Santoro, Eileen Mealia, and Betty Smith, and brother John Scanlan. Known to all as “Pat”, she enjoyed golf, traveling, reading and, spending time with family. She was an active volunteer at St. Gregory the Great Church and in the community where she lived, The Haven.
Pat was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to John and Alice Scanlan, and graduated from Catholic grade and high school also in Brooklyn. She worked for 40 years at Heidelberg Eastern in New York and retired as an investment bank officer for them. She lived in multiple towns in New Jersey, in Georgia, and North Carolina before moving to Bluffton.
Throughout her 76 years, Pat had many friends and always enjoyed social get-togethers. She would help all in any way she could, and always had many memories to share with all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton on Friday, December 4 from 4 pm to 6 pm. Also, a Mass will be said for family and friends and will be held at 9:30 am at St Gregory the Great on Saturday, December 5.
