Patricia F. Vining

Patricia (Fletcher) Vining, 79, of Bluffton, SC passed away August 4, 2018. She was born on April 16, 1939 in Binghamton, New York the daughter of the late Austin and Helen Fletcher. Pat was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Karl W. Vining. She is survived by her beloved three sons and their spouses, Brian & Elizabeth Vining of Houston, TX, Kevin & Suzanne Vining of Pound Ridge, NY, Craig & Heather Vining of Franklin, TN; six grandchildren: Eric, Connor, Julia, Olivia, Ryan and Adam; her sister, Joan Linder of Sarasota, FL; sister-in-law Shirley Kwasnik of Kirkwood, NY; and nieces and nephews. Early in life, Pat was an Elementary school teacher in Binghamton, NY and had a heart for helping her students. Pat was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and an active part of the Widows & Widowers and Solos clubs in Sun City where she lived. She also shared a great love for her friends and playing Dominoes, MahJong, and Kings in the Corner. Pat and her late husband Karl travelled every corner of the globe, and still found time to enjoy Square Dancing and Round Dancing together. Pats devotion to her family and friends will be remembered by all. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 11 from 3-4 p.m. with a celebration of life at 4 p.m. at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice.
