Patrick J. "Luke" Lukowiak

Patrick J. “Luke” Lukowiak, age 62, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Virginia Beach, VA died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC.

Mr. Lukowiak was born on November 29, 1953 in Newark, NJ, the son of the late Joseph Francis Lukowiak and Margaret Hendricks Lukowiak. He was a retired disabled veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member and strong supporter of the Ridgeland Chapter of Outdoors Without Limits, as well as a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. Luke was an avid golfer. Mr. Lukowiak is survived by his wife of 8 years, Beverly Hodge; daughters, Gail Murphy of Bluffton, SC, Maria Benjamin of Lafayette, LA, Christy Gerow of Fort Campbell, TN, Maria “Lucy” Rios of Virginia Beach, VA, and Margaret “Maggie” Lukowiak of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Mike of Austin, TX; sisters, Kathy and Eileen, both of New Jersey; and grandchildren, Whitney, Britney, Sidney, Rubin, Jasmine, and Yasmine. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902 with military honors.
