Pattie Ruth Johnston Covington

Pattie Ruth Johnston Covington, 81, widow of William Sidney Covington, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 in the Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.She was born in Rome, Georgia on November 27, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Foy Edmond Johnston and Ruth Evangeline Striplin. She moved to Bluffton, SC from Dalton, GA .She was a retired loan officer for Wachovia Bank. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dalton, GA.She is survived by her son, Craig William Covington; two daughters, Judy M. Covington of Albany, GA and Katharine C. Abney and son in law, Roger L. Abney of Bluffton, SC; one brother and sister in law, Foy E. and Betty Johnston Jr. and three grandchildren, David H. Abney, Caitlin Covington and Craig W. Covington, Jr.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 5, 2007 in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Hospice Care of the Low Country, P.O.
