Paul Cotesworth "Coty" Pinckney, Jr., age 81, of Bluffton died Monday, July 13, 2015 at Bloom of Bluffton.
Mr. Pinckney was born on January 13, 1934 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Paul Cotesworth Pinckney, Sr. and Lucille Hodge Pinckney. He worked at Union Camp for many years before opening Pinckney Electric Company. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He was an avid motorcyclist and hunter, a NASCAR fan, and he loved his grandchildren.
Mr. Pinckney was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Hand Pinckney. He is survived by his daughter, Genie P. Roach (Kevin) of Bluffton, SC; sister, Virginia P. Dean (Charles) of Bluffton, SC; grandsons, Cody (Tess), Kyle, and Colin Roach, all of Bluffton, SC; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Corbin Roach; and nephews, Charlie and Paul Dean, both of Bluffton, SC.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC. Burial will follow the mass at Bluffton Cemetery.
