Paul Douglas Cox

To my beloved family,

As I look back on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for the life I’ve led. Joining the Army’s 101st Airborne (Screaming Eagles) at 18 years of age, was a defining moment in my life, instilling in me a sense of duty and honor. I would have made the Army my career if I hadn't been injured in Vietnam 69-70, but the values and integrity that I leaned in life and of my service remained strong with me.

My deepest joy has always been my family. My beloved wife, Diana Lynn Ragan Cox, you have been my steadfast companion, sharing in life's blessings and challenges. To my sons, Jeff and Josh, My Daughters, Yvette & Angela, you've made my life full, with your presence and families.

Through Jeff & (Kay) - Josh & (Angela) - Yvette & (Don) - Angela & (Steve), I am blessed with 12 wonderful grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Each of you carries a piece of my heart. Remember me for my love of country and family. Treasure each other as I have treasured you. Carry on with courage, compassion, and integrity, keep seeing the good in each other as I have always seen the good in all of you.

To my brother Howard, sisters Libby & Gina, always know that I have loved you and your families and find happiness in knowing that you too loved me.

I was preceded in death by my mother, Martha Carter, of Daulton, Georgia and sister in law, Barbara Pierpaoli, of Harleyville, South Carolina.

Remember forever, that "7. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

2 Timothy 4:7-8

With all my love,

Paul Douglas Cox
