Paul William Sum

Paul William Sum, 86 of Bluffton, SC passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Hilton Head Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Shaghai, China on September 2, 1925. He was the son of the late James Sum and Jessie Toong Sum.He was a golfer, private pilot, enjoyed bowling and like to sing. He was Coroner of Cattaraugus, NY. He was a US Army Captain who served in Germany during the Korean War.He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sum; two sons, Jay (Robin) Sum and Rob (Rosie) Sum; three daughters, Cynthia (Greg) Ford, Suzye (Paul) Stetz and Jane-o Sum; one brother, Peter (Cathy) Sum and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by two granddaughters.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Grace Coastal Church, Okatie, SC with burial at Noon at the Beaufort National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 til 7, Monday, December 12, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton.
