Paula Bazinet Sweeney

Paula Bazinet SweeneyHilton Head Island, SCOur loving wife, mother and Baci, Paula Sweeney passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2007. She was born on July 24, 1936 in Chicopee Falls, MA. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts and taught elementary school in New Jersey and Minnesota. She married John Patrick Sweeney in 1958 and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She moved to Hilton Head Island after living in Cedar Rapids, IA and Minneapolis, MN. She enjoyed walking her dogs, gardening, reading, birding, and was an avid environmentalist. Over the years she volunteered for numerous organizations, including Hennepin County Animal Humane Society, Interfaith Outreach, Bluffton Self Help, Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Low Country Questors and Moss Creek Nature Club. She is remembered for her big meals, her clean house, and her expertise in English grammar. She inspires us to respect all people because she had the ability to recognize the best qualities in everyone she met.
