Peggy Deane Moody Hooper

Peggy Moody Hooper died peacefully Friday morning July 10, 2020 at Bloom of Bluffton where she was a resident for the past two years.

Peggy was born in Jackson County North Carolina to the late Columbus Hyatt Moody and Bertie Childress Moody.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wendell Hooper and her sister Bessie Ree Pressley, Betty Jo Norman, Jeane Stewart, Patsy Pressley and Karen Passmore.

Peggy attended Glenville High School where several years later she served as Lunch Room Manager until she retired in 2008.  She attended Glenville Weslyn Methodist Church.

Peggy was a loving mother to Glenda Deane Dillard of Ridgeland, SC and Linda Sue Dellinger of Hilton Head, SC.  She is also survived by her beloved grandson Brandon Kyle Dillard, great-grandchildren Morgan Dillard, Logan Dillard and dear friend David Dillard all of Charlotte, NC.  She leaves behind the last of the seven sisters Jacqueline Rathborne of Waynesville, NC and several nieces and nephews.  She will also be missed by her faithful little dog Fido.
