Perolof R. Palm

Per Olof Palm, 79, of Bluffton, SC, passed away peacefully at his home, where he was surrounded by family, on March 24, 2022. Per Olof was a man of endless optimism, a deep love for his family, as well as a lobster roll & joke enthusiast. He loved being around his friends and family, and especially loved being around his grandchildren.

Per Olof was born in 1943 to Birger and Marta Palm and was raised in Lindkoping Sweden. Per Olof graduated from Uppsala University in Sweden and spent much of his career in the Swedish and Finnish mining industries in the US. Per Olof immigrated, with his family, to Atlanta, GA to serve as the Swedish Trade Council.  Outside of work, Per Olof enjoyed living in the Lowcountry and spent much of his time playing bridge, golf and enjoying the culture and cuisine of the area with friends and family. He loved traveling and exploring new parts of the world and returning to Sweden each summer to see family and feel the warmth of the midnight sun.

Per Olof was predeceased by his parents and his wife of 39 years, Christina Palm. He is survived by his children Jonas Palm of Marietta, GA and Fredrik Palm of Holmes, NY; their spouses Claudine and Brian; and his grandchildren Alexandra and Camden

A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
