Peter Ketchum

Peter Ketchum, age 74, of Bluffton passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Memorial Medical University Hospital, Savannah, GA.

Mr. Ketchum was born in Chicago, IL on September 21, 1943, the son of the late Harold Ketchum and Geraldine Gerlach Ketchum. He was retired, after 40 years, as an Executive for Xerox Corporation. He was a US Army veteran and attended Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He loved to play golf, watch golf on TV and was a volunteer for the Heritage. He coached baseball and football during his son’s involvement with these sports. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Ketchum of Bluffton; two sons, Joseph Peter Ketchum (Julie) of Rochester, NY and Robert Peter Ketchum (Kathleen) of LaGrange, IL; his sister, Georgene Ketchum Mengarelli of Cary, IL; grandchildren, Joshua, Jack, Margaret, Peter, Anne and Caroline Ketchum. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold Ketchum Jr.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton with a memorial service to follow.
