Peter Thomas Kinney, Sr.

January 6, 1938 – June 7, 2025

Peter passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2025 in Bluffton SC, from complications of heart disease. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 6, 1938.  He is survived by his children, Mary Beth Tillman (Erik) and Peter (Chip) Kinney, Jr (Shelly) and grandchildren Vivian Tillman, Edward Kinney and Sarah Kinney. He is also survived by his long-time partner Sherry Johnson and her children, Jeannette Adamski (Ed), Wendy Cox (Jim) and Shawn Johnson and her grandchildren, Matt Adamski (Cassie), Jacob Adamski, Reilly Cox and Sydney Cox.

Pete owned Quest Engineering with offices in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Iowa for many years before he and Sherry retired and moved to Bluffton, South Carolina in December of 2020.

Pete loved all the kids and grandkids and the Cleveland Indians. He and Sherry traveled the world throughout their 30 plus year partnership and he cherished every minute of their life together.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
