Peter J. Mutascio Jr., 69, of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC.He was born in Orange, NJ on January 31, 1940. He was the son of the late Peter J. and Antoinette Delisa Mutascio Sr.He moved to Hilton Head Island twelve years ago from Mt. Laurel, NJ where they had lived for the past 26 years. He was a graduate of Columbia High School of Maplewood, NJ. He was a graduate of the University of Richmond, VA, School of Business. He attended Seton Hall School of Law. He was a lifetime supporter of the University of Richmond Spiders and the Washington Redskins.He was a devoted husband and father always stating his children were his greatest joy.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline J. Mutascio of Hilton Head Island, SC; two sons, Peter J. (Kelly) Mutascio III of Chesterfield, VA and Christopher (Patricia) Mutascio of Monkton, MD; one daughter, Mia Mutascio (Shaun) Herock, of DePere, WI; ten grandchildren, Rebecca, Alex, Sydney, Emma, Grant, David, Peter, Shaun Jr., Anthony John and Christopher. he was predeceased by one brother, Michael C. Mutascio.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis By the Sea Catholic Church, Hilton Head Island, SC at 2:30 pm, on Wednesday, February 4, 2009.
