Philip Gwynne Jones passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 following complications due to a serious fall in July 2021.  Born Philip Gwynne Walradt on June 17,1942 in Worcester, Massachusetts, Philip was lovingly adopted on May 24, 1943 by Richard D. and Helen V. (Bush) Jones. He leaves his love of twenty- one years and wife for the past thirteen years, Dianne M. Jones.  In addition, he is survived by his son, Brian (Angie) Jones, daughter Lori (Jim) Daniels, stepson Darren (Bam) Footz, grandsons Freeman Jones and Matson Daniels, and granddaughters Haley Jones and Ava (Daniels) Taylor. Philip was predeceased by his sister, Judy Hasso.

Philip’s extensive employment was with IBM until his retirement in 1996. Following a successful career, he volunteered with both Red Cross disaster services and PGA tournaments, traveled often, and golfed.

He and Dianne moved from New Hampshire to South Carolina in 2010. They enjoyed a wonderful life full of love, adventure and enrichment.  His many friends remember him as kind, gentle, caring, and honest.  And Dianne will forever remember that her “Groom” began each day by saying, “I still fall in love with you every day.”

It's not how long we held each other's hand What matters is how well we loved each other It's not how far we travelled on our way

Of what we found to say

It's not the spring you see, but all the shades of green It's not how long I held you in my arms

What matters is how sweet the years together

It's not how many summertimes we had to give to fall The early morning smiles we tearfully recall

What matters most is that we loved at all.

Songwriters: Marilyn & Alan Bergman, David Grusin
