Phyllis Lee Van Dyne Beach

Phyllis Lee Van Dyne Beach, 81, of Ridgeland, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.She was born in Shadyside, Ohio in October of 1930 to the late Arnold and Jeannette Rutherford Van Dyne. She was a homemaker and worked for many years in food service for the Jasper County School District and was the former manager of the Depot Restaurant. She also provided day care for children.She was an active member of the Okatee Baptist Church.She was the wife of the late George Warner Beach.She is survived by her daughters; Georgia Lee Beach Turner (Ard) of Tillman, SC and Marcy Beach (Scott Britton) of Ridgeland, SC; a brother, Phillip Van Dyne of Toledo Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Sean and Aaron Horry, Casey Turner, Jayme and Byron Beach, and Nicole Wargo; and 11-great grandchildren.She was predeceased by her son, Arnold LaBruce Beach.A visitation will be held at Okatee Baptist Church from 2:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2012 with a funeral service beginning immediately after at 3:30 p.m.
