Polly Queripel, age 86, of Bluffton, SC died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC.
Mrs. Queripel was born on March 28, 1929 in Madison, NJ, the only child of the late Reginald Paul Lum and Martha A. Sampson Lum. She grew up in Madison, where her father was the fire chief for 15 years and graduated from Madison High School in 1947. Following graduation, she attended the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising. On May 7, 1954 she married Mr. Craig Queripel and together they raised a family and enjoyed many years in New Providence, NJ until they retired to Bluffton, SC, where she had lived for the last 20 years. While living in New Providence she worked in the lunch room for the New Providence School District and later as a receptionist with Crum & Forster Insurance Agency. More importantly, she was a devoted house wife and loving mother. In her spare time, she enjoyed canasta and lunching with the ladies.
Mrs. Queripel was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Craig Queripel. She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Queripel Proctor and husband Robert Proctor; son, Craig Paul Queripel and wife Alexandra Mijs Queripel, and their son, Christopher Paul Queripel.
