Ralph Lamar Gormley, Jr

Ralph Lamar Gormley, Jr., 71, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at his home in Bluffton, SC.He was born April 20, 1938 in Tulsa, OK. He was the son of the late Ralph Lamar and Mary Evans Gormley, Sr.He was a graduate of the University of Arizona where he was a member of Delta Chi. He earned a Masters degree from California State, LA. He was a sales manager for the American Honda Corporation. He enjoyed golfing, camping and motorcycle riding. He was a very kind and giving friend; a loving husband, father, grandfather; and a good friend to everyone.He is survived by his wife, Barbera Gormley of Bluffton, SC; one son, Greg (Stasi) Gormley of Mount Pleasant, SC; one sister, Judith Gormley of Ojai, CA; and three grandchildren, Andrew Gormley, Michael Gormley and Luke Gormley all of Mount Pleasant, SC.A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd., Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 25, 2009.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
