Randy Lynn Keith

July 6, 1952 — January 19, 2022

We celebrate the (loss of) life of our loved one, Randy Lynn Keith who lost his short battle with cancer the morning of January 19,2022. He is survived by his loving partner of over 23 years, Carol, sons Daniel and David Keith, daughter-in-law Heather and adoring grandchildren Cayslee, Camden and Cruze; in addition to his siblings, nieces and nephews.

Randy was a loving and generous partner, father, brother, and grandfather. He was always willing to help anyone and everyone. As a father, he was always available to help his boys whenever they needed him, instilling whatever life lessons that the moment called for. He always made sure they were happy. As a grandfather, he found ways to make their time together fun, including going fishing at a nearby lake or dressing up as Santa Claus at a surprise Christmas vacation at Disney.

Randy was a planner, especially when it came to vacations, such as fly fishing down the Colorado River or early morning guided lake fishing in Lake Mead. He enjoyed golfing in the desert in Palm Springs and Scottsdale as well as touring Costa Del Sol on the Mediterranean in the South of Spain to the hills of Rhonda. Sometimes it was as simple as going out for wonderful dinners, watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets on beach vacations or finding and looking at the moon through his prized telescope.

He was a hard worker at all the jobs he had over the years. He excelled at his most recent job as a school bus driver, where he adored helping the special needs children on his routes and his co-workers to this day praised him for his compassion with the kids.  At home, you would always see him in his fashionably loud overalls, sun shirts and sunhat, doing his best to make his home one he could be proud of.

Randy was born in Ebensburg, PA to the late Virginia Salsgiver Keith and Harry Keith on July 6, 1952, where he was raised along with his siblings Harry Jr, Cindy, Kevin (also recently taken from the family too soon) and Tammy. He joined the Navy right out of high school where he served his country as a medic in Vietnam, which taught him to be quite good with a needle and thread at home. His love to help people guided his passion to become a respiratory therapist after his tour. He was extremely proud to have served his country and wore it on his ball cap every day.

His generosity and caring heart were limitless. He was always willing to help others, he would go out of his way if it brought people joy. He possesses genuine qualities that's hard to find in people anymore so we will all miss that the most. He was resilient, and that spirit of resilience would see him through more pain and tragedy than any of us could fathom. He was one of one.
