Randy Jay Kennedy

Randy Jay Kennedy of Hardeeville, SC passed away on August 27, 2018 with his family at his side at the age of 61.

Randy was born in Atlanta, GA on September 29, 1956 to Betty Lou Lasley and the late Walter Aaron Kennedy. Randy graduated from High School in Barlow, Kentucky.

Randy moved from Kentucky more than twenty years ago to the South Carolina Lowcountry where he was a construction contractor, specializing in trim design, for his own company, Quality Trim.

Randy is predeceased by his wife, Connie Beth Kennedy; his father Walter Aaron Kennedy; and brothers, Paul Jr. and Roger VanMeter.

In addition to his mother, Betty Lou Laslay Shobert, Randy is survived by his daughter, Katie Kennedy and granddaughter, Annie; brothers and sisters, Terri Lynn Crestman, Donna (Peanut) Smith, Rick Lewford and Mike Vaughn.

Randy’s “Celebration of Life” services will be September 22nd at Red Dam Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SC at 10:00 am.  Following the service, Randy will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Connie, in the Red Dam Baptist Church cemetery.  The church will provide a lunch following this ceremony.
