Ray Arlen Parkerson

Ray Parkerson died July 9, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet, three children: Douglas (Bluffton), Rachel Rooney (Roswell, GA) and David (Alpharetta, GA), five grandchildren: Brian, Jake, and Kelly Rooney and Matthew and J.D. Parkerson and sister, Vivian Howell (Knoxville, TN).Ray was born in Shreveport, LA, graduated from Southern IL University and worked 33 years with Amoco Oil before retiring in 1994.A Memorial Service at The Church of the Cross in Bluffton will be held on July 17 at 11am.Family & friends are thankful for the double lung transplant that gave Ray 3
