Raymond Edwin Bradham

Raymond Edwin Bradham, 81, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA. He was born in Sumter, SC on January 14, 1933 to the late Marion Horry Bradham and Sallie Gardner Bradham. He was the Director of the US Dept. of Agriculture in Jasper County for 41 years; founding board member of Step of Faith Academy and Calvary Christian Academy; member and deacon of Great Swamp Baptist Church; attended Clemson and was an avid fan of Clemson athletics. Mr. Bradham was a fitness buff and last competed in the Cooper River Bridge Run at the age of 65. He enjoyed building furniture and fixtures for Step of Faith Academy and his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Lyles Bradham of Ridgeland, SC; son, Raymond E. Bradham (Tracy) of Greer, SC; daughters, Gay Bradham McDaniel (Mike) of Ridgeland, SC; Joy Bradham Tharp (Troy) of Travelers Rest, SC; brothers, Gilbert Bradham of Columbia, SC; Roy Bradham (Erna) of Texas; Julian "Doc" Bradham (Leona) of Seneca, SC; sister, Betty Bradham Rahn of Sumter, SC; brother in law, Marty Fazio of Palm Beach, FL; sister in law, Billie Bradham of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Grant McDaniel, Brady Bradham and Ben Bradham. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marion H. Bradham, Jr. and sister, Sarah B. Fazio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Great Swamp Baptist Church, Ridgeland, SC with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service at the church.
