Raymond "Ray" Elbertson

October 21, 1946 — March 12, 2022

Raymond (Ray) Elbertson, 75, died peacefully at home on March 12, 2022 after a valiant fight with prostate cancer.

He was born in Marlton, NJ, on October 21, 1946, the middle son, to the late Benjamin Elbertson and Doris (Thomas) Elbertson and spent the majority of his life in New Jersey.

After graduating from Lenape High School in 1965 he went on to Technical School, but his personality, love of people and interacting with others made him the perfect salesman.  Whether it was retail, industrial or technical sales, he exceled in all things sales.  He retired from Kalenborn Abresist USA after 25 years. He traveled a 26 state territory in the Northeast visiting many different industries and achieving $1,000,000 sales for multiple years.

While proud of his sales accomplishments, the accomplishment he was most proud of was his 50-year marriage to wife, Barbara Elbertson. Together they retired to Bluffton, SC where he enjoyed boating, golfing and traveling. They were fortunate to travel throughout Europe, Australia, Africa, the Caribbean, Central and North America.

To his many friends and family, he will be remembered as a caring, kind and fun guy you would want at your party, a wonderful husband, loyal friend who was always there to help when needed, a loving brother/brother-n-law and special Uncle to his nephews and nieces. Ray is survived by his wife Barbara Elbertson and sister Linda Schaffer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Doris Elbertson and brother David Elbertson.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be planned at a later date.
