Raymond R. Leary

Raymond R. Leary, age 90, of Bluffton, SC died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. Mr. Leary was born on December 7, 1925 in New York, NY, the son of the late John Leary and Rose Merlin Leary. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church where he was active with the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Leary is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth A. Leary; daughters, Nancy Leary of Hoboken, NJ, Mary Stringer (William) of Powder Springs, GA, and Anne Dolan (Timothy) of Northfield, NJ. He is also survived by his six grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC with military honors.
