Rebecca "˜Becky' Ann Freeland Aaron, born to Epson and Margaret Freeland, in Beckley WV, on January 2, 1941, went to be with her Lord, in her home in Bluffton on September 2, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Aaron. She is survived by her brothers Don C. Freeland and wife Carey of Bluffton, SC; Larry "˜Rusty' Freeland and wife, Jeanie, of Daniels, WV; sons Mark Aaron and wife, Sherry of East Bend, NC; and Paul Aaron and wife, Lori of Winston Salem, NC; grandsons Mark Epson Aaron, Sidney Taylor Aaron and Jeremy Ayers; great granddaughters Maria Aaron and Lindsey Aaron; nephews Noah Freeland and Nate Freeland; nieces Michelle Freeland and Shannon Freeland. Interment will be at Beckley Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Rebecca loved helping people and loved "working in the Lord's army." She was very content in whatever circumstances she found herself and gave thanks in her trials. She was loyal and finished what she set out to do. One of her favorite sayings was, "If they're talkin' about me, they're not talkin' about somebody else!" She worked as a dental assistant and also worked in accounting at German Coal Company. Rebecca was a Girl Scout and was very active in softball, tennis, basketball and rode a dirt bike. She was a VA Tech fan, a Clemson fan and a Dale Earnhardt fan. Some of her favorite pastimes were working crossword puzzles, playing UNO with children, and especially reading. Her favorite Bible verse was Job 23:10. She was active in the Beckley Women's Club, the Rosebud Garden Club, was chosen to be on the Beckley Beautification Club for the town and was honored for all her work. She volunteered at the VA hospital, nursing homes and would babysit anyone's children so they could have a night out. She was Woman of the Year at Daniels Missionary Baptist Church; and directed Senior Saints, worked in the children's program including VBS and Awana, at First Baptist Church of Bluffton. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Bluffton on September 6, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, Rebecca asked that donations be made to Miguel Rojas' Church/Awana in Costa Rica.
