Rebecca "Becky" Smith, 68 of Hardeeville, SC and widow of Tommy Walls (married 30 years) and Eddie Smith (married 14 years) passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Rincon, GA. She was born in High Point, NC on April 11, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Marie McPherson Perdue. She moved to Hardeeville in 1976. She was retired from South Carolina Bank and Trust. She was a member of the Red Dam Baptist Church for thirty years where she held the position of Treasurer. She loved people and enjoyed her family and church family. She is survived by her son, Robert T. Walls (Meredith) of Hardeeville, SC; her daughter Amy Ambrose (Mitchell) of Rincon, GA; her sister, Ava Kanoy of Lexington, NC; her sister in law, Dot Smith of Hardeeville, SC; her brother in law, Frank Walls and sister in law, Linda Charles both of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Joshua and Mallory Ambrose, Cori Peavey, Carson Boyles and Isabella Walls and several step children, step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Johnny Perdue. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Red Dam Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SC with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at noon until the hour of the service.
