Rhonda Patterson

July 12, 1945 — July 3, 2023

Rhonda Patterson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 3, 2023.  Born in Savannah, GA on July 12, 1945, Rhonda moved to Hilton Head Island with her husband, Marvin H. Patterson in 1968 and they embraced the tranquil beach life that the island had to offer.

Marvin and Rhonda owned multiple businesses on Hilton Head, but Rhonda was best known as Head Teller at Nations Bank and later on as Business License Administrator for The Town of Hilton Head and then in the same position for The Town of Bluffton.

Rhonda attended First Baptist Church of Hilton Head and, after moving to Bluffton, she attended Cornerstone Church until she passed.  She was active in Sunday School and AWANA classes and taught the Word of Christ to countless children and young adults.  Rhonda's passion in life was helping others anyway she could and to always put a smile on your face.

Rhonda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marvin H. Patterson, daughter Angela and son in law Richard Campbell, grandchildren William and Julia Campbell, son Michael Patterson and Kathleen Labarowski.  Also surviving are sisters, Lena Hughey, Debra Kemp, Renee Thompson, nephew Darren Hollingsworth and nieces Tonya Strickland, Kim and Donna Bohannon as well as numerous other extended family members.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cornerstone Church, 1300 May River Road, Bluffton, SC on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 1:30pm.
