Richard F. Breitenbeck

Richard F Breitenbeck, beloved husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend joined our Lord in heaven, May 30, 2023. Dick as he was known, was born July 27, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Antoinettia and William Breitenbeck. He was the youngest of seven children and enjoyed school, family time, and sports. He attended St Joseph’s High School before joining the Navy in 1953 and serving in the Korean conflict.

Dick married Jane Ann Ramsay in 1957 and they were blessed with four children, Richard, twins Mark and Mike, and daughter Lori Delang. Jane and Dick were blessed with six grandchildren.

Dick married Marge Scott in 1986. Marge had three children, Catherine, Edwin, and Jeff Scott. Dick became the grandfather to Catherine’s daughter, Alexandra Pruitt.

Dick was an accomplished Quality Control Engineer working on aircraft engines for companies including Williams Research in Walled Lake, MI and Teledyne in Mobile, AL.

Dick and Marge spent their final two years together in Bluffton, SC near members of their extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:30 am--12:00 noon, October 28, 2023 at Bloom at Belfair, 60 Oak Forest Rd, Bluffton.
